STECS Throttle System

The STECS is the premier modular throttle system for flight and space sim pilots.

While many commercially available throttles are designed, and ergonomically optimized, for use with a certain type of flying machines, the STECS offers a more universal solution thanks to its modularity and customizability.

Needless to say, STECS is compatible with all VKB controllers and modules.

The STECS Throttle is available either with the Modern Throttle Grip (MTG) or with the new Space Throttle Grip (STG).

How do you space pilots pull off strafe manoeuvres? I mean, sliding your spacecraft sideways without yawing.

Forward and back, you rock the lever, using your shoulder muscles, as they're stronger at the cost of being less precise; but when it comes to strafing, here comes the precision only attainable by hand muscles.

Introducing the STECS Mk.II - we listened to your feedback!

This update comes in response to feedback from many users who experienced unwanted sideways movements when trying to move in a single direction with the thumb ministick. With so many voices raising this concern, VKB HQ couldn’t ignore it—so here’s the solution.

Updated MTG Grip:

All new STECS Mk.II MTG Throttles (all submodels) will have the original thumb ministick replaced by a 5-way hat switch (4-way plus center push). Additionally, a 2-axis ministick will be introduced under the index finger across all submodels, replacing the push button.

We gave our full attention to tactile feeling of this control device. Soft and comfy replaceable rubber inserts reduce slipperiness of naked material and ensure better grip. Same goes about encoder wheels and buttons: all of them have rubberized inserts.

Smooth and non-sticky movement of the throttle axes is supported by adjustable independent clutches.

Combining this multitude of modules, you can create hundreds of different configurations for your own personal needs.
