Which games can be played with VKB controllers?
VKB controllers work with most PC sim and other games, including all popular flight & space sim games such as Microsoft Flight Simulator, DCS, X-Plane, IL-2 Sturmovik, War Thunder, Star Citizen, Elite Dangerous etc..
VKB controllers may even be used for games such as Farm Simulator, Train Simulator, Battlefield, etc..I am new to flight & space simulation. Which controllers should I choose?
In very simple terms you should choose a flight stick, a throttle and ideally rudder pedals.
1. Joystick
You have the option between the Gladiator EVO series and the premium Gunfighter Mk.IV series.
The Gladiator EVO is a fantastic mid-priced controller with high-tech features. It comes with multiple grip options.
You can adjust the gimbal to adjust the stick movement extension exactly how you like it.
You won’t find a better controller in this price range.
The Gladiator EVO is by far the most popular joystick!For general aviation, military aircraft and space sim purposes we recommend the ‘Space Combat Grip’ SCG grip unless you specifically want to fly the F-14 or WWI/II warbirds only in which case you could opt for the F-14 grip or the WWII Combat Edition KG12 grip.
The Gunfighter Mk.IV series was released in 2023 and boasts the ultimate in joystick technology.
You get the full gimbal adjustability with ultra-precise movements.
And you can add stick extensions if you want to strive for the very best stick precision.We recommend the MCG grip as it is the most versatile and perfect for all types of aircraft.
The MCG Ultimate – an all-metal grip that is clearly the king of joysticks in the market.For extra precise control all grips on the Gunfighter base may be fitted with a 100 mm or 200 mm stick extension.

VKB controllers are compatible with Windows PCs.
They are not compatible with Xbox, PS5, Apple or any other platforms.What setup do you recommend for gliders?
The best option is a Gunfighter stick with 200mm extension mounted on a UCM desk mount, plus T-Rudder pedals.

Excellent flight stickExcellent flight stick. The feel it has is great. Many buttons available. Vertical Rotational axis for rudder is also great. The app has some excellent customisations for setting axis curves, dead zones, sensitivity etc. which allows you to tune games that do not have such options available. If you are buying this for air combat games I will also recommend one of their flight STECS Throttle Systems if you want to be competitive in air fights. The shipping was fast, products send next day and VKB support has been great.

Genuinely a great stickGenuinely a great stick. It is my first stick so I don't have anything to compare it to, but it was recommended to me over other entry level sticks and I have not regretted it. The build quality feels solid and it is very precise and very easy to assemble and set up was uncomplicated especially with the online videos.

Easy to set up, great qualityI bought these for star citizen. A few minutes getting the software installed and it was ready to go. I changed the spring tension to the harder one and still find it a bit too slack for my personal preference, but honestly they work and feel great. They make my thrustmaster sticks feel like children’s toys - so one day I’d like to upgrade a stick haha.

Scratches the Space-Flight Itch PerfectlyAs someone who’s been gaming for a long time — I’m an original Elite (1984) player — I came to HOTAS fairly late, and I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect. The Gladiator EVO Space Combat Edition Premium completely won me over.
I mainly play Elite Dangerous, often in VR, and this stick has transformed the experience. Flying through asteroid belts genuinely feels like sitting in a cockpit. The precision, resistance, and button layout make ship control feel natural and immersive rather than “gamey”.
The build quality is excellent — solid, smooth, and confidence-inspiring — and the extra inputs on the Premium version are incredibly useful once you start mapping ship systems. Even as someone new to HOTAS, it was intuitive to set up and grow into as my skills improved.
What I love most is how it scratches that old space-flight itch. It bridges the gap between the imagination I had playing Elite in the 80s and what space sims can be today. If you’re flying in VR, or just want to feel more connected to your ship, this is an outstanding choice.
Highly recommended for both newcomers to HOTAS and long-time space sim pilots alike.

Gladiator EVO 'Space Combat at it's best.I recieved my flight stick quickly and undamaged, I found it quite easy to assemble, it is extremely well made and sturdy, I set it up a little strong so I can feel the movement, there are plenty of buttons to program, and it is very responsive, I am using it with Star Citizen and it worked straight away no messing with the settings, although you do have to program the buttons at some stage, but at the moment its good to go.
